A27 Improvements

What’s happening?

A-one+ on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out road marking renewals and stud replacement on the A27 between Worthing and Chichester.

Traffic Management:

In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be undertaken using various Traffic Management options. Please see below for full information.

Dates and timings:

A27 Worthing to Arundel:

30 October - 17 November 8pm – 6am

Monday to Friday working

A27 in both directions between Grove Lodge roundabout in Worthing and the start of the dual carriageway section at A27 junction with Cote Street, Arundel.

The A27 at this location is both lit and unlit and these repairs are being carried out after an AMAC survey was carried out in 2015 and identified numerous service defects including worn out markings and missing studs.

There will be lane closures in place facilitated by two/three way traffic signals to encompass any junctions.

Properties affected:

Properties at Grove Lodge Roundabout to Cote Street may be affected by these works and we aim to finish all noisy works by 11pm. Access will be allowed at all times.

A27 Arundel to Chichester

The A27 at these locations are unlit except for the urbanised areas of Arundel, Fontwell,Tangmere and Chichester.
