It was Enoch Powell who once said that ‘all political careers end in failure.’ It is perhaps too easy to apply that description to Boris Johnson’s dramatic flouncing out from Parliament after taking against the findings of the House of Commons Committee of Privileges.
Yet again the A27 is in the news. This week national Highways came out with the results of its consultation into the 3 main ‘tweaking’ proposals for dealing with key junctions between the Offington roundabout and Sompting.

As if it needed demonstrating any more clearly the 250 plus Shoreham parents and children who converged on the farmer’s market last Saturday clearly demonstrated the strength of feeling over the secondary school places issue.
It’s been a busy year in East Worthing and Shoreham and thanks to local people getting involved and having their say in local campaigns and community politics, we’ve managed to save Chesham House, secure a more permanent home for the Adur Gateway Hub and save Springfield School.
