AREA IKEA Protest

Adur Residents Environment Action (AREA) are holding a protest against the proposed IKEA on New Monks Farm on Saturday 12th May. 10am meet at the the Old Toll Bridge to walk to Withy Layby for 10:30am.

It was then on to meet the new Chairman of Lancing Business Park Damian Pulford of Sussex Transport together with park manager Suzy Bastaple and see some of the more extraordinary freight items his lorries convey around the world.

Worthing Job Centre roundtable

Continuing on from my recent visits to local benefits facilities I then organised a roundtable meeting at Worthing’s Job Centre at Crown House.

Methold House Expansion

It was then on to Guild Care where I am proud to be a patron of one of Worthing’s charity sector jewels.

I was given a tour round Methold House which was buzzing as usual, and a preview of their exciting plans to expand and revamp their facilities there.

AREA IKEA meeting

Representatives from the local air pollution group AREA gave me an update on their work, as I was unable to attend their public meeting earlier in the week confined to barracks in Parliament for the important Syria debates.

West Sussex MPs meet new Education Secretary

Reporting back on the meeting between West Sussex MPs and the new Education Secretary, Damian Hinds, as promised, continuing the fight to secure additional funding for our schools in West Sussex.

Barclays Lancing Branch

Unfortunately, I have received some disappointing news from Barclays:

On Friday 3rd August 2018, Barclays will be closing their branch at 47 North Road, Lancing.

This closure means the nearest Barclays branches will be in Worthing and Southwick.
