Worthing Herald Column November 23rd 2023

There is some progress at last on the issue of the missing secondary school places in Adur which has meant that a cohort of pupils from west Shoreham have had to travel to schools in Worthing that did not feature in their original choices.

I was pleased by the Chancellor's Jeremy Hunt Autumn Statement announcement last Wednesday including major packages for pensioners, the self-employed, those on Universal Credit as well green energy investment to ensure a clean, green future.

 

Sir Robert Woodward Academy

The news that Sir Robert Woodard Academy has agreed to take a further 70 pupils for the next school year in September 2024 is very welcome and should hopefully address the immediate shortfall in Adur places for pupils coming from west Shoreham.
