Welcome and thank you
If this is your first visit to my website then - welcome. If you are a regular visitor please do let me know what you use it for most and how you think I can improve it. As this site was used for campaigning during the election it is currently being revamped and will shortly include new features. This website is maintained at my own expense to let you know what I get up to as the Member of Parliament for East Worthing & Shoreham, in Parliament and in my constituency, what to expect of your MP and how to get hold of me.
I have always campaigned for Parliament to be as transparent and accessible as possible. That is why I published details of how much public money I spend in carrying out my job several years before the whole 'Expenses Scandal' blew up. They are availble here under the ‘What does your MP cost you?’ section. I also make myself as available and accessible as possible to constituents through fortnightly constituency surgeries, regular street surgeries, public meetings, my video podcast site www.telltim.co.uk and an e-newsletter which you can subscribe to by clicking here.
My office is also always happy to help arrange tours for constituents or groups coming up to Parliament.
It was a great privilege to be re-elected as the MP for East Worthing & Shoreham on May 6th 2010 for the fourth time. As always I am here to serve all my constituents however you voted, or indeed whether you are old enough to vote or not as I particularly value my work with children and young people.
Best Wishes
Tim Loughton MP
14th June 2010...
'I am sorry for current problems in my Parliamentary office which means that we are taking rather longer than I would like to respond to constituent queries. Since my appointment as Minister for Children & Families after the election inevitably I have had to spend most of my time settling into my new role. In addition to this we are in the process of moving offices within Parliament and my former secretary has also left and her replacement has not been able to start yet. We hope to be able to resume normal service as soon as possible and in the meantime the constituency office can take calls between 10-4 Tuesday to Fridays. Thank you for your patience.
And thank you for voting on May 6th 2010
