The impact of the Coronavirus on local businesses will be considerable.
Worthing is particularly dependant on the hospitality sector which is at the sharp end of closures and restrictions. Nationally the hospitality industry is our third largest industry whilst in Worthing alone there are around 300 restaurants and cafes.
Many establishments may have to close temporarily but for some the next few weeks when cash flow is essential, could prove make or break. Please do whatever you can to support local businesses. Some restaurants are offering a delivery service for those who are not coming to dine in person. Other service industries offer gift vouchers which can be redeemed when the current crisis is over, and which help with cash flow though obviously there are risks attached.
