I fully appreciate the concerns many people have had with regard to these changes and unfortunately some of this is down to a lot of misinformation and scaremongering published in the media.

Ex-pats, pensions and Brexit

As I am sure you are aware, State Pensions long-standing rules enable the co-ordination of social security entitlements for people moving within the EU. The rules also apply to EEA countries, i.e. the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, and Switzerland – the last 4 of which are not in the EU.

Meeting with Southern Rail (GTR) Managers

Thanks to Southern Rail and Govia Thameslink Railway CEO, Charles Horton, for showing me around the Network Rail Regional Operating Centre Three Bridges. It provided an insight into how they are dealing with punctuality problems. I then travelled to London Victoria Station in the cab of a train to understand the problems and challenges train drivers encounter.
