Campaign Update

A campaign update with two and a half weeks until election day - the weather hasn’t always been ideal - but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed talking to people on the doorstep and I’m looking forward to the upcoming hustings.

Knife Crime

Welcoming the additional 200 police officers we’ll recruit in Sussex in each of the next 4 years - and also discussing knife crime.

Talking about road safety and improvements by the A27 - discussing bridges, funding, the bypass and IKEA.

Live Animal Exports

Discussing the issue of live animal exports from Shoreham Harbour - post-Brexit we will be able to at last ban the export of live animals which we are currently unable to do due to EU regulations.

Update on Cafe Licence Charges

Following a very encouraging meeting with the new Leader of West Sussex County Council and others, I am delighted that the Council will go back to the drawing board on their proposed license charges that cafes and restaurants that have outside seating and chairs were being faced with.

The nomination papers are in - and I will be the Conservative Candidate for East Worthing and Shoreham on December 12th. My 4 priorities for East Worthing and Shoreham are school funding, keeping our hospitals ‘Outstanding’, tackling the climate emergency and sorting out the A27.
