MP encourages participation in public meetings and consultations
Tim Loughton MP is encouraging his constituents to engage in consultations and public meetings to express their views and concerns over local development proposals.
Currently, energy supplier, e.on, has submitted plans to build an off shore wind farm, called Rampion, 13km from the Sussex coast. Lancing and Adur councils have announced a regeneration vision for Lancing and Brighton & Hove Albion are proposing to develop a new training facility in Mash Barn, Lancing.
Tim said:
‘There are a lot of exciting plans being proposed at the moment in my constituency and I want to make sure that all local residents know they can have their say. e.on is widely consulting on their plans to introduce a wind farm off the Sussex coast which means that there are plenty of opportunities for residents to find out more and ask questions.
Adur District Council and Lancing Parish Council have joined forces to commission a study which will form a regeneration vision for Lancing village centre and seafront. The study will allow residents and businesses to influence, directly, Council and private investment in their village. I have created a questionnaire on my Tell Tim website (www.telltim.co.uk) to assist with the study and provide feedback to the councils.
There is also a public meeting coming up soon regarding Brighton & Hove Albion’s proposal to develop a training facility at Mash Barn. I have been working hard to put across the views of local residents and recently had a meeting with officials at the Amex stadium. This meeting will be a great chance for the whole community to come together and discuss the proposal.
I have one of my regular street surgeries this Saturday in Lancing and I would like to hear from anyone who has any views to express over these potential developments or has any other concerns in general.’

Worthing- Saturday 25 February, 10am-6pm (St Pauls, Chapel Road, Worthing BN11 1EE)
