PLAY time for Tim Loughton MP, Shadow Minister for Children and Young People
On Wednesday 18th February Tim Loughton, Member of Parliament for East Worthing and Shoreham, and Shadow Minster for Children and Young People, congratulated ‘P.L.A.Y.’ on their first anniversary.
P.L.A.Y. is an indoor adventure play centre, which caters for children up to 11 years of age. Re-launched on 18th February 2008 by directors Darrell Wilson, Ross McDowall and David Filipe, after Darrell Wilson refused to let the children within the community loose their play centre after the closure of the Fun Junction Centre.
Tim Loughton attended the PLAY Centre on Stoke Abbott Road, Worthing to present prizes to the children that attend the Centre.
Tim Loughton said: “I am very much enjoyed meeting the children at the Centre and to hand out the prizes as part of the first anniversary celebrations for PLAY, after the amazing transformation it has undergone with the help of family and friends of the Centre.
“It provides a wonderful safe, fun and creative place for the children within our community and Darrell, Ross and David are to be congratulated for all their efforts.”
