Trust is inviting anyone who is interested in what’s going on at Ropetackle Centre
Trust Chairman, Tim Loughton MP, said: "People who come to Ropetackle to see shows or to participate in events, tell us how much they enjoy the experience, and how professionally the Centre is run. They are always surprised when we tell them that all but a couple of people involved in running it are volunteers"."The Centre’s team of volunteers do everything, from booking performers, running the shows, managing the finances, and working behind the bar! The volunteers have become quite a community!”At the open evening, the Trust will be unveiling its exciting plans for the future, including further arts and science events with Sussex University and a rich variety of artistes.“We really do encourage everyone to come along,"
Tim Loughton added, "both our regulars and those who have yet to visit the Centre. We want to hear as many views as possible. Ropetackle is for the people of Adur – and the region, and we want to know if they like what we are doing.”“And we would like more volunteers!"
The evening will start with the AGM which will be followed by a discussion, when members of the Ropetackle team will talk about the choice of events, and the plans for the future. It will also be the opportunity for those present to ask questions and make suggestions. The open evening is on 27 January at 7.30 at Ropetackle. Entry free.
