It's time for the Keep Worthing And Southlands Hospitals campaign to rally the troops again!
With the consultation document from the Primary Care Trust on the future of our hospitals now likely to be published in late June we are planning a show of strength and an update on the campaign on:
Saturday May 26th - From 10.30am
At Splash Point, Worthing
From 10.30am - stalls and presentations on the prom
11am - Arrival of the KWASH bed at Splash Point, pushed from Southlands Hospital by KWASH chairman Tom Wye and others.
Noon - Nurse Sunshine look-alike contest to be judged by Des Lynam. Come appropriately dressed
Calling all babies and mums born at Worthing & Southlands:
We are particularly keen to see as people who were born at either of the hospitals or who gave birth there. There will be the opportunity to register and place your details on a long line in chronological order with a prize for the earliest baby born. This is also a great opportunity to come and meet up with long lost contemporaries from the maternity wards.
If you have any ideas or can offer your help to make this another successful KWASH event please let us know at kwashcampaign@googlemail.com
This is going to be a long fight but the KWASH campaign has won excellent support and publicity so far and together we will win. So make sure you are doing your bit to help.
