KWASH Valentine's Day Protest
This Valentine's Day (14th February) the campaign to Keep Worthing and Southlands Hospitals open (KWASH) is holding a Valentine's Day Protest outside both hospitals from midday-2pm.
West Sussex residents are being encouraged to bring their 'hearts' to the hospitals in the form of banners and red balloons.
The demonstration at Worthing Hospital will take place outside the main entrance on Upper Shoreham Road and the demonstration at Shoreham Hospital will take place outside the main entrance on Lyndhurst Road, Worthing.
KWASH Chairman and Worthing Mayor Tom Wye commented:
"We are aiming to stop the heart being torn out of our local hospitals. We've had a great reaction from the local community to the plans for this demonstration and as it is half term we expect a large turn out of children as well as adults.
"The demonstrations are being supported by many of the hospital doctors and nurses and local MPs Tim Loughton and Peter Bottomley will also be attending."
