Tim welcomes Adjudicator's decision to reprieve Fishersgate School
MP for East Worthing and Shoreham Tim Loughton has welcomed the decision of the Schools' Adjudicator to reprieve Fishersgate School. Responding to the report published today, Tim said:
"This is a great triumph for local people power. The campaign to save Fishersgate School has been very effectively fought by the staff, governors and parents and clearly the Adjudicator was swayed by the passion and determination of their case and I congratulate them on it, particularly Elaine Ross who has headed the campaign with such vigour.
"I also praise the Adjudicator for having listened to local voices. It is now essential for the County Council to sit down with the school, elected representatives and the local community to determine how best Fishersgate School can be properly resourced and supported as the heart of a newly invigorated Fishersgate community and I look forward to playing my part in that too."
