Tim publishes annual report
East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton has this week published his latest annual report keeping local residents updated with his activities in the constituency and in parliament.
This is his first report since the general election in May 2005.
In the last year Tim has raised over 500 questions in parliament and campaigned on numerous issues such as the need for a Worthing bypass, the financial problems of the NHS in Sussex, powers for local people to reject mobile phone masts being sited near their houses, controls on housing developments and increases to penalties for dangerous drivers who kill and injure whilst not entitled to drive.
Tim has also led the Conservative Party on legislation such as the Childcare Bill that aims to extend the provision of quality nursery places as part of his role as shadow children's minister.
Tim said: "We deal with about eighty letters from constituents every day as well as surgeries, emails and calls. The report goes out to let everyone in the constituency know what I've been up to and remind them how to contact their MP should they need to.
"I am always happy to welcome constituents to Westminster so please get in touch. Similarly, contact the office if you want me to take up any issue on your behalf.
The report will be coming through letterboxes in East Worthing and Shoreham shortly and is also available on audio tape for those with sight problems courtesy of Adur Talking News.
Tim's constituency office can be contacted on 01903 235168 or via email: loughtont@parliament.uk
