Tim helps search for UK's best manufacturing company
East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton is urging companies in his constituency to enter the Manufacturing Excellence competition, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, to find and reward this country's best manufacturing practices.
Entry into the awards is free and the deadline is 1st March. Each company taking part is asked 230 questions and in return the company is given a complimentary benchmarking report worth ?10,000 which recommends how they could further improve their performance. The best companies will then be invited to an Awards ceremony where the winners are announced.
Tim commented:
"This award is open to all manufacturing companies however small, wherever in the country they are based and whatever sector they work in. I would urge companies in my constituency to enter.
"Winning an award would really put East Worthing and Adur on the map and would be likely to boost the local economy."
