Tim Loughton MP Visit to Alchemist Scrap Store on Friday 14th Jan

Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, visited the Alchemist Scrap Store on Meadow Road, Worthing to welcome them to their new building on Friday 14th January.

Tim commented:
'I was tremendously impressed with the great progress that Paul Elleston and his team have made at the Scrap Store since I first went to visit the operation at the original premises in Lancing and it is good to see them expanding into these excellent new offices in Worthing alongside the Green Machine project of which I am delighted to be patron'

He continued:

'This sort of facility presses all the right buttons and I was delighted for the opportunity to sing its praises in Parliament last week. It provides a real service to community and youth groups in an environmentally friendly way whilst teaching children about the virtues of recycling and re-use and at the same time saving tons of usable materials from clogging up precious landfill space. That it has become self-sufficient is a testimony to the success of what it preaches. Yet again Adur and Worthing are leading the way with innovative projects that care for the environment and encourage young people especially to take their responsibilities seriously at a young age.'
