Local MP Gets Involved on National Volunteering Day

Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham rolled up his shirt sleeves and got involved with the national Make a Difference Day on Saturday 30th October. As a trustee of charity Community Service Volunteers, Tim was delighted to help out at local Sue Ryder shop on Broadwater Boulevard.

Tim Loughton commented:

'CSV Make a Difference Day is a great opportunity for people across Worthing and Shoreham to improve their local communities by volunteering. With 22 million people volunteering in the UK, the voluntary sector plays a huge role in caring and support in the community and we should support it as much as possible.

'The idea behind CSV Make a Difference Day is to celebrate volunteering by giving up your time to a good cause. There are endless social, economic, environmental and cultural benefits to volunteering. Whatever you do, no matter how small, you too can really make a difference.'
