On Monday 27th November, MPs debated the Recall Bill at Committee Stage in front of the whole House of Commons (usually committee stage only consists of a small number of MPs who go through the Bill line by line in a committee room). Rather belatedly, the Government recently published a Bill to create a transparent and robust recall mechanism, where constituents are able to recall their MP if they are found to have engaged in serious wrongdoing.
