Loughton's Dozen: Number 9...

Sustainable Communities and the Climate Change Bill

Tim has supported these two important pieces of legislation which are important locally for the survival of pour community facilities and globally for the survival of our planet.

The Sustainable Communities Act is a useful tool in giving local people a say in the future of vital services like post offices and shops and sustainable development and Tim has been giving talks to promote its use.

Full details can be found on www.localworks.org. The Climate Change At became law in 2008 and includes some very demanding targets for reducing harmful emissions by 2050 and improving our carbon footprint.
