Fair Deal for Fishersgate

Fishersgate has been the neglected corner of West Sussex for too long.

After years of problems over the future of the Dome Community Centre and the ultimately successful battle to retain the old Fishersgate School, now part of Eastbrook Primary Tim is working with councillors and residents to get a comprehensive new children's centre attached to the school and regeneration for the area.

The Fishersgate Together forum has brought together local people, councillors and residents’ groups to help breathe new life into the area. An important step was taken in October when Tim opened the Fishersgate ‘Meet In’ Space in Leylands Road which will be a multi-purpose community facility ahead of the full childrens’ centre and healthy living facility opening in 2009.
