Loughton's Dozen: Number 7...

Electric Storm Youth Project for Lancing

Tim is patron of Electric Storm Youth, a Charity based in Lancing which has a vision to see a brand new facility for young people built on the Freshbrook School Site when it becomes vacant in June 2009.  The centre will offer facilities and services that are right at the heart of youth culture.

For so long people have been satisfied with offering young people anything other than the best.  ESY want to go all out and offer them something amazing and give them a home from home.  They want to see it staffed with people who are deeply passionate about seeing young people learn for themselves, and lead a life that they find fulfilling, rewarding and above all else, fun.

There is now the possibility of working in partnership with local GPs who want to merge their surgeries on the vacated Freshbrook site and the County Council are working with them and ESY on other complementary activities there too.

Tim has been coordinating all the various interested parties in the hope that we can make this exciting reality a vision which will give a major boost to the regeneration of Lancing and use this strategic site in an imaginative way for the benefit of all.
